About The Polar Bear King Roars

In The Polar Bear King Roars (private collection) , the mighty polar reminds us who has the last word. One-on-one who or whatever faces the polar bear doesn’t stand much of a chance. But climate change, is an insidious foe that our mighty bear might not have †he chance to circumvent.

There is always a story to my Polar Bear King paintings.  The imagined emotion on the bear’s face, the placement of the bear in relation to the sun, and the artwork’s title all contribute to that story. 

The metallic gold paint plays a large part as it symbolizes the richness of nature, the royalty of the apex predator bear. It also symbolizes climate change and our warming planet.

The original painting (sold) is a mixed media (graphite & black, white & gold metallic acrylic paint) painting. It is on a 6" h x 12” w x 1 3’8" deep canvas. The edges are painted gold.
